Best wishes to you and your family for 2007 - This is the year of Brahman. (9 is the spiritual number for enlightenment) GOOD NEWS With the blessings of Param Pujya Sri Swamiji, the Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that, subject to legal formalities, we hope to complete the proposed purchase of a new centre in Brentford. It is close to Heathrow airport and easy driving distance from North & South London. Sri Swamiji may visit London to officially open the centre. THE COST To make the centre meet with the criteria laid by Sri Swamiji, the trustees will have to undertake major refurbishing. The total cost including purchase and developing cost is estimated at £ 1,100,000.That is a substantial amount for an organisation like ours. THE FINANCE With P.P. Sri Swamiji’s grace, we have received donations in excess of £ 100,000 in lump sum from a number of donors whilst bank loans will provide the balance. That means DYC U.K. will have to make monthly mortgage payments. APPEAL We launched Building Project Gift Aid Appeal near the end of 2006 under which we sought 108 sponsors (each representing Dattatreya’s 108 names ) to contribute £ 100 per month for a minimum period of 5 Years or £ 6,000 each in any combination over 5 years – see attached leaflet. We need your time, donations and support. DYC UK’ s income is predominantly your donations. DREAM To make our dream a reality, we need everyone to make an effort and support the scheme.
